Hello,
I am new to the game. I was wondering if there are any truly open (accepting all arts; tae kwon do, karate, kung fu, etc.) tournaments in Michigan. My google searches show a lot of different things but I believe they may be one art permitted, i.e. only karate practitioners allowed, in each of the tournaments.

There are a lot of folks on here who don't do competition, so likely won't have any useful information for a question like this.

By the way, welcome to Martial Talk!

Also the USKA Is open to all styles (but no grappling events)

If you want to travel they have a large world championship in Phoenix that is really good.

My son has competed in USKA for 8 years.....it’s by far our favorite.

Fabino's tournaments are all I know on the west side. Michigan Sport Karate is all Detroit/ Detroit metro. The only michigan circuit I know of is Michigan Sport Karate. Other than that, there are occasionally small school tournaments but those are pretty quiet. I don't know a single thing in the UP.
