Larry died recently of a heart attack at the age of 60. He was a pioneer in the Christian rock-n-roll music scene in the late 60's & 70's. It was his powerful lyrics & willingness to "buck the system" of Christians who thought Christian music should be anything but loud made him the spokesman for many young Christians. As his song said, "Why should the devil have all the good music?"

He will be missed.:asian:

Started off as the bass player for Jefferson Airplane.

"Don't ask me; I'm only visiting this planet."

Thanks for all the good tunes, Larry. See you in the after.

He was an intersting guy. He spoke (and sang) his mind, even when it went against what other people...inluding what other Christians...wanted to hear.

He grew his hair long to make room for his brain.

God bless ya man. :asian:

Didn't much like his music once he struck out on his own.
But I admired him for staying true to his heart even when it got his rocker friends and Christian friends upset.
Good on him. I bet he's playing bass for Johnny Cash and Jimi Hendrix at this very moment.
