On the side, I'm thinking of giving private lessons. I'll provide some background information so that my value for services and teaching potential can be evaluated.
Do you have access to students already? And what art/styles would you be teaching?

I had a chance to try private teaching doing remedial work with students who transferred to my instructor’s school, or who needed help in areas for testing.

For clarification I was suggesting teaching for free for the experience short term. Most students learn to teach under their own instructor for free or in trade for class tuition. Lots of fields require time as an intern.
So yes, teach somewhere somehow for free for the experience before teaching professionally for money.
I managed to find a school of a very different style that allowed me to teach my style on weekends. They charged, and I let them keep the money. Had classes picked up (and Covid hadn’t happened) I’d have kept part of the proceeds.

That might be an option for you.
