I will wait patiently for the voices that called for Dan Rather's dismissal from CBS for his "obvious political bias" to demonstrate their "Fair and Balanced" approach to bias by calling for the dismissal of Roger Ailes.

Roger Ailes is the head of Fox News Network. Earlier this week, he said in the presence of many witnesses.

Roger Ailes said:
And it is true that Barack Obama is on the move. I don't know if it's true that President Bush called Musharraf and said, 'Why can't we catch this guy?'

Whether an attempt at humor or not, as the head of a self-proclaimed news organization, such humor seems an apparent attempt at 'kidding on the square' - to use a term from Senate Candidate Al Franken - It's meant as a joke, but he really means it.

The result of this language - and repeated attacks from the Fox News Network on Senator Obama - is that the Nevada Democratic Political Party has withdrawn from a scheduled August debate co-hosted by Fox News.

Now, rather than reporting the News, FNC has inserted itself into the story, by claiming a violation of the First Amendment because the Democratic Party has decided to not participate in their debate.

A statement released Friday night from Fox Vice President David Rhodes said: "News organizations will want to think twice before getting involved in the Nevada Democratic Caucus, which appears to be controlled by radical fringe, out-of-state in interest groups, not the Nevada Democratic Party. In the past, MoveOn.org has said they 'own' the Democratic party. While most Democrats don't agree with that, it's clearly the case in Nevada."

So, apparently, Fox News has decided that it is not going to 'Report', but instead, it will 'decide'.
