Yesterday, the kids in my tots class were told to get water. One of the kids said, "I have electrolytes."

I said, "It's what plants crave!"

The joke went over his head, but the other coach was cracking up. For the rest of the class whenever Professor said, "Everyone go get water", I had to fight the urge to say, "Like from the toilet?"

Another victim of advertising. Unless you're sick, or an elite level athlete spending most of the day working out, it is extremely unlikely that your electrolyte levels will be significantly impacted. Probably won't hurt anything, but aren't helping. Like a lot of the supplements people take, they're a recipe for expensive urine. Water and a balanced diet are all you really need.
