For me, martial artists is the person who constantly upgrading his mind and body through martial art practice, while founding peace in love inside of himself.

Not the one who train to win and to gain medals and awards only, and feeding his ego, but the one who sees far beyond those shiny steel and crowd claps.

In the end, always stays just the man himself, and everybody who is a martial artists one dat will ask himself, lookin at medals and belts: ''Well, is that all boy? Is that all you've trained hard last years?''.

I think the only thing we'll be able to agree upon is that there isn't a concrete definition of "martial artist." In which case, it doesn't make a great deal of sense to get all hung up on who is and who isn't one. There are performance-based measures you can use to evaluate yourself (or others, if that's your bag). And then there's a whole lot of really subjective stuff that's up for grabs.

Getting too hung up on it is a waste of your time.
