When I first started teaching at the University I came across a tween jacket with suede patches on the elbows. I wore it until the patches and other places had holes. I would have kept it but my wife threw it out.

When I want to wear one of my haori, with it’s beautiful lining, to some sort of soirée, my other half always says, “Hmmm, do you have something else?”

I have never figured it out, but in my limited social circle when a man and a woman have a difference of opinion on clothing, Why is the woman always right?

Even when in a small group, say 4 couples, the other 3 women agree with the first woman' opinion. And the man is always wrong. Tie goes to the woman.

I have to admit, she’s always right about everything from my clothing to where to invest my money to where we should live/holiday. The only thing she’s really bad at is suggesting buying antique swords is a waste of time …

I believe some ryuha do allow the wearing of colourful keikogi and accoutrements or rather don’t care what you wear! But all black looks the coolest
