I'm currently researching a feature on Bruce Tegnér. I'm looking to make contact with anyone who studied with him – if anyone has any stories, anecdotes or first-hand accounts they'd like to share that would be great!

I was also wondering about a Kajukenbo connection, he includes a couple of the pinans in his books and I heard it suggested that he trained with John Leoning?

I would be interested in reading your article. I remember reading Bruce Tegner's book on karate back in the day. I know it was probably what sparked my initial interest in martial arts.

He was an interesting man and had some quite forward thinking ideas with regard to making the martial arts accessible. I think a lot of people found his books to be a gateway leading on to other things. There are some details in his biography I'd really like to fill out e.g. how much contact he had with Kajukenbo. I have messaged jukado1 and also tried to contact him on facebook but I'm not sure if he's still active.
