Anyone have any idea what headlock I could have experienced?

I was once put into a headlock during a fight a long time ago. My whole right arm was neutralized and I couldn't move it but I couldn't see how my opponent gripped it. My left arm was free but it could not grab onto any vital points of my opponent. My back was bent forward. Is there anyone who could make a guess what the move was that I was put into? I couldn't see the headlock properly before I was flung to the ground.

Seriously???

If you don't know what it was, how are we going to figure it out based on some vague description of something that happened years ago?

Just go train. See if you can figure it out on the mats.

I'm open to guesswork. The assumed move doesn't have to be 100% accurate. All I can say is that my left hand was free and wasn't able to grab or claw at any vital point because they were out of reach and my back was bent. That could probably help in the guesswork. I would start at guessing that it could have been a standing guillotine but I'm not so sure.

I did try asking at the school I trained with before but they couldn't guess what it was. Probably cause they are more of a striking style.

Go train at a grappling gym.

I can't believe this is a serious post. This has to be a troll.

I knew someone or some people would be rude but my burning curiosity got the better of me. At least I tried. If you think I'm trolling, report me then.

I am thinking perpetrator was under arm pit and headlock across opposite side of neck
It works well to apply pressure where needed on the neck.

Do you remember if your opponent was facing you? If so, sounds like a standing arm-in guillotine. If not, standard schoolyard headlock, just with the grip going under the armpit on the far side rather than just around the neck.

I couldn't see his direction once the headlock was in, but standing arm-in guillotine sounds like the closest to what I experienced. What do you suggest I do in order to counter the standing arm-in guillotine once it has been placed?

There are others much better suited to answer your question than I, but my first thought would be to use my untrapped hand to try and attack the grip around my neck. If you can break the grip you have a clear path to their back or to disengage.

This assumes that you can't reach them at all. In a scenario where strikes are on tbe table, foot stomps could serve as a distraction to weaken the grip if possible.

Of course, this also assumes that you've tried to avoid getting in the position (the best defense, of course, is to not get there) and haven't managed to for some reason.

If your hand and arm were up and the person was tight along your right side with the right arm up, and their right arm wrapped around your neck that is one thing. Called various names in different arts.

The Back is either straight if they are about your size, or you are bent backwards if they are shorter and if taller then bent backwards and over the hip quite easily.

If the back is forward, were they standing in front of you behind you or along side and if along side which side?

Head arm or a darce or something depending on where you were.

The easiest one is a standing arm in guillotine. Which is the most likely

Mabye a bulldog choke.

Is it something like this? Your right arm is controlled by your opponent's left hand and your right hand is free.

You can use your free left hand to press on your opponent's forehead and free your right arm.

He was probably standing to the right of me. I remember my left hand could barely reach him but my fingers was in reach of him but yet not long enough to grab, squeeze, or punch a body part.

That was my thought, as well. Just a tight enough 2-handed headlock (with the second arm under that armpit) would make that trapped arm hard to use. If they were strong enough (and had position) to maintain the headlock with one arm, the other can trap the near arm in a number of ways that would make it hard to move, as well.
