AC luxation

Hi everyone,

Seriously injured my shoulder.
AC luxation Tossy 3/ Rockwood 4 or whatever.
Any of you have experience with that? And hints on recovery without surgery?

Welcome to Martial Talk, Johan.

I worked in a Physical Therapy unit that specialized in sports injuries. Which doesn't mean squat.
But I can tell you it depends on what "type" - level of severity - that injury is, we dealt with a lot of them.

Thanks. Rockwood 4 to be precise.

I saw a lot of those, but they were all after surgery and subsequently doing Physical Therapy/Rehab. Talking with the patients during rehab, most of the injuries were from falls onto their side with that arm up against their body. A couple were hockey injuries getting smashed into the boards.

Thinking back, the surgeries were predominately arthroscopic.
