Forgotten Corvette collection emerges from the dust after 25 years

Peter Max was not a car guy. So when he purchased a collection of 36 Chevrolet Corvettes, one from every year of manufacture up until 1989, he had a very specific plan: He would use this slice of American history as a tool to self-promote his work as an artist, painting the machines in lurid colors while staging them in various oddball scenarios only the most expressive of minds could envision.

Of course what he had in mind for them was just wrong IMO too

Painting a 1953 Vet a lurid colors and stagging it in an oddball scenario.. that is plan wrong :cuss:

Where is this idiot? I say he should be drawn (see what I did there?) and quartered!

Corvettes are to be driven. Hard. And as often as the weather allows.

I dunno, man. Peter Max's stuff sells pretty well, still.....

Hard to see some of those Vette's not being worth a little more.....I mean, "Sonafagun! It's refreshment time!"

Guy's a sixties icon....

Guess I'm gettin' old....:lfao:
