My advice would be to see what your female peers are doing when they roll.

Female Bjj players have to constantly roll with people much larger than themselves, and develop very strong methods to deal with their weight/size disadvantages. Take notes of their game, and it could help your dilemma. I've rolled with female classmates who might as well been covered in grease or oil because they constantly escape my holds while I'm on top.

You know. The more I've thought about this...the more this advice about smaller students applies. I've been watching more videos. I've gotten more fluid. I am soon to be leveled up again. I want a tournament "under my belt" before I do though.

Good advice here

The only point I'd add is that I find it pretty much essential to take the initiative right from the outset
If they are good at applying pressure and you get on the defensive then it becomes a really hard job to turn the tables
Probably you're more mobile so you can use that advantage much more easily at the beginning
