What is EDC folding knives for?

I'm trying to get a handle on what this has to do with science
Read my first 2 posts, what I consider very important for EDC, to have a strong blade for plying for emergency, then have to have protection of hand when thrusting.

There are other things we debate in other threads about the effectiveness of eyes gauging, biting etc. Looking at the style how they fight to judge the effectiveness using science.

Don’t miss use the word ā€˜science’.

Science is the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation, measurement/experimentation, and the ā€˜destruction testing’ of theories. It functions as both a reliable body of knowledge and an ongoing process of discovering how the universe works

If you are doing this, I’d like to look at your numerical data and how they were gathered.

Stay within the thread, try to ply with a weak knife like Spyderco with a big hole at the base of the blade, try to thrust into harder object without the protection as described in my first 2 posts. That's science, not just they have good looks.

I talk science because I am actually an engineer that own 4 US patents and published 2 papers in America Institute of Physics Review of scientific instruments.

It's not science, that's the thing. The, ah, blade of scientific inquiry requires experiment or at least observation

Science is using common sense, think about consequence LOGICALLY. Like people watch video of opponents to find their weak points and work against them. THAT'S SCIENCE.

Science is NOT about just numbers, is ANALYZE THE SITUATION LOGICALLY TO PREPARE THE RESPONSE.

An engineer is not a scientist. Have you even seen ā€˜Big Bang Theory’, MR Alan0354?

Engineer to start, But I obtain 4 US patents and published 2 papers in America Institute of Physics. That's a whole lot more than just an engineer.

What field are you in. If you are in scientific field, we can really talk.

Well this should be interesting…

I’m in Surgical Technology and Hyperbaric medicine. Jason is the name, stabbing and cutting is the game.šŸ˜Ž

That's not, uh, a very penetrating assessment of what constitutes science

You really wouldn’t understand neuroscience. Let’s stick to knives…

I lost interest on all these comments, Read my first 2 posts of this thread, just common sense.
