I didn't remember the cars either. Also, I can see why the black lion was pop. due to being the leader or something. I just liked the blue one.

You know, I started out with the lions as a kid and enjoyed them, but eventually the Voltron composed of many spacecraft sort of grew on me -- those episodes had a more "military" feel to them that I found appealing.

I think I miss my childhood.

I got to see Voltron as the original show 'Go Lion' when I was in Japan. Seeing it translated as 'Voltron' when I got back to the U.S. was a trip.
