I was taking a look at these CD-ROM and DVD sets at Comdo.com (or some place else, if I can find them cheaper). I was wondering if anyone owns or has watched these sets, and if you could tell me if they're any good? From what little I know of them, I think they would be a great resource to have, but I'm looking at almost US$217.00 for both sets, so I'd like to gather opinions before I decide to purchase. And I've come too trust the opinions of people on this board, which is something unusual for me in the short time I've been here. :)

I haven't gotten The Legacy Continues - but I use the Legacy CDs all the time; in fact, I bought a netbook computer (Asus EEE pc) so I could take the videos to class with me. Some of the technical details are outdated; the original Legacy CDs are quite old in the scheme of things, and require an older version of QuickTime (included) to run - but as far as getting a global picture of stepping and such they're great! They also show the patterns from all 4 directions (A, B, C, and D) which is very useful.

I have The Legacy CD ROM. It's been helpful.

The legacy continues has the same videos as The Legacy. The only real difference is they're on DVD's and run at a better resolution.

Since they started selling the encyclopedia on a CD ROM as a standalone product, you might want look at getting the DVD's or the encyclopedia. (Or just get one, then pick up the other later on if you're still curious.) You don't really need The Legacy anymore.

Yeah, I didn't realize until I was looking at it today that TLC is TL updated on DVD.

I'm hoping to track down a copy of the hardcover encyclopedia, as well. Having it on a nice, portable DVD is nice, but there's just nothing like holding a book in your hands as you read it. :)
