my usual stock is Huangshan Maofeng - hairy tea from yellow mountain -

I have tried the Huangshan Maofeng tea for 5 days. It's not a very strong tea. May be the one I bought was the 2nd grade. I only paid $80 for 16 oz. Just wonder what's the 1st grade Huangshan Maofeng may cost?

first grade would be around 1000 RMB/500g, first grade is often bought to give as gifts.

Yes Huangshan Maofeng is not a very “strong”tasting tea….(but leves a strong coloration inside my white coffee mug). But yes the “strength” in taste vary depending on grade which depend on time the leaves were picked(around qingming festival) and location around Huangshan

That's about $147. for 17. oz. I online ordered many different tea last time. Huangshan Maofeng is the one I just started to try. I like all green tea.

My most favor tea is still Pouchong. The tea has fresh green color. It's from Taiwan where I grew up. When I was in the grade school, every week we had to go to the mountain to pick up Pouchong tea leaf for the school. The school then sell the tea to buy sport equipment. Can you get it in China?

It’s probably available, but maybe not at my location in Anhui, I’ll ask about it next time I’m in the tea shop. Maybe it’s similar to the teas produced in Taiwans “ neighboring “ Fujian province ?
