I think your prejudice against Taijiquan is showing
Single leg standing, trains strong chicken leg.

Lately I have been getting a lot of commercials for reversing ageing by Tai Chi on line. By appearence a 68 year old asian man talks bout remarkable program of older people using Tai Chi . He has no shirt on and claims doctors now seek his advice. They claim to create a program just for each idividual subscriber. Results in 3 days, 7days and a new you in one month, for a fee, of course, one month is $10.

Anyone have more information about this program? I have a link but am not posting it. Clue: name similar to Mad Man?
Yeah. That is that company's script, they also do the 30 day seated yoga challenge. There is a quick disclaimer at the beginning stating this is AI generated. If you watch what the exercises are, they are just basic calisthenics. Which is okay to begin an exercise interest, but this is not Tai Chi. Also, just moving slow is not Tai Chi; research other various threads.

Like 'fake' teachers/styles if it sparks an interest and causes someone to be on a path- of discovery, well turn that experience into a positive.

I just got this:
...
Wait a minute, in 28 days I won't believe my results? I've been reading the 'your wife won't believe your results' thing all wrong!

Anyways, it's kind of funny that my teacher has more than a passing resemblance to the AI generated Asian guy in the videos. Probably coincidence.

What is not coincidence is the script they're using and the exercises you are seeing in the ads. They're rip-offs of discussions and videos that were floating around approximately this time last year when this whole slopstorm started. The ads look like frozen-in-time representations of the slop that was going around last summer. Obviously these videos are a total grift but that is not actually even the important or interesting takeaway.

Unforseen consequences... ;-)

That's very interesting. I wonder who has the legal liability then, in case something goes wrong?

Go online and look at pictures of Tai Chi practitioners. Are any if them ripped and shredded? First clue. Any idea how hard it is to gain muscle in your 60's? With bodyweight movements, that if they are Tai Chi, probably don't include push-ups, burpees, planking, etc. Snake oil is snake oil.
Has anyone seen the Tai Chi teacher calendar?
