Airport officials stopped Jobs from taking the sharp blades on to his private plane, according to a report from Bloomberg news via the Japanese magazine SPA!.
The officials reportedly spotted the stars inside the CEO's carry-on luggage as he was heading home after a family vacation in Kyoto.
I wonder if they helped his iPhone reception? :D

That is weird. I always thought you had a bit more freedom with what you could take on your own plane, as long as it's not produce, livestock, drugs, or bombs.

Ya know I've been seriously considering pilot lessons since last January? Because I hate flying I thought it would be cool, but knowing me I would end up in the same trouble.

Apple has stated that Steve Jobs did go to Japan, however the story is fiction.

Another forum had a post by someone familiar with the airport, and people clearning security for private planes are dumped into the same area as those boarding commercial airlines.
