Not many left on MT that may remember my short walk down the Police/Military Sanda path. But a big part of the training was hitting trees...and walls... Apparently Wing Chun folk like hitting trees too, they just need extra stuff ;).

Came across this by accident today

The trees tremble in fear -- especially the quaking aspens -- when Xue approaches...

As I use to say, after I was jumped by a tree in Pa., and back when I was training Sanda...."Never trust a tree"

I am going to have to get to the root of this bad joke issue and nip it in the bud

When we get to the root of this thread's problem I'll plant my feet and say "I think I shall never see, a poem as lovely as that farking tree."

I’ve seen a few styles lightly hit trees, kyokushin, some internal arts, even must Thai etc

The Sanda did hit trees with palms, knees, elbows..... I could never do the knees elbows thing.

I think you might be barking up the wrong tree.....but then I pine for more puns...but you know what they say...Life's a Birch :D
