"Short-circuit" from deep half guard

The strategy I've had the most success with lately has been:
  1. Go to deep half guard
  2. Frustrate my opponent who is trying to get their leg free
  3. My opponent short-circuits and sits down
  4. I just ensure I'm not in a triangle choke, I lift my hips and secure the sweep
I've found success doing this against all levels (even newer black belts). For some reason (maybe because it feels more like mount than guard) they forget they're in a guard and just decide to take the bottom position to "unstuck" themselves. It works very consistently on folks up to purple belt, and even intermittently on the brown/black.

Are there other positions, techniques, concepts, or strategies you've found that have this same effect? Where folks will essentially short-circuit and just do the wrong thing out of frustration?

The old deep half lock down hey?

I would kind of say kesagetami does the same thing.

But it is also just my fat *** just sitting on you
