Submission Attacks from Bottom Deep Half

I've very recently started playing with a straight ankle lock from deep half (a technique I found on Instagram). I know in a couple years I can start working kneebars and kneebar transitions from there as well.

Are there other submissions I can hit from bottom deep half guard? Or specific sweeps or transitions from deep half that set you up perfectly for a submission?

Sweeping from deep half naturally brings you up to the start of an over-under pass. From that position you can sometimes hit a kneebar. It's kind of opportunistic, but the nice thing is that you don't have to abandon your passing position to try it.

From bottom of deep half? You don’t really have access to your opponent’s neck from there.
I might not be discussing the same thing.

I was wondering if there were any good arm attacks on that near-side arm, or if there were any good setups to sweep into an arm attack (i.e. how controlling the arm for a scissor sweep or flower sweep can help set up an armbar).

Not that I’ve seen or that I can easily imagine offhand. Deep half is all about controlling the opponent’s hips and legs. Really good for sweeping into a passing position, not so good for going directly into most submissions.

That one straight ankle lock I've been workshopping...I hit it on two different folks yesterday. Threatened it on a couple of others. Seems a nice technique. I think that's my gameplan next competition.

As @Tony Dismukes says I think it's more of a sweep to over under pass position with the odd knee bar thrown in for good measure
There are other sweeps, but that's the main one I feel

Personally not a fan of deep half as you'll be spending a chunk of time getting squished so it's not a go to for me
In that kind of situation I prefer to dig for the far foot and attack toe hold - which if fails tends to get you a sweep without getting overly pressured

I love deep half because it short-circuits people's brains into forgetting they're in guard. Half my sweeps from this position (even against brown/black belts) are because they get frustrated trying attacks and just sit down voluntarily to take bottom position.

Speaking of brown/black...I'm not allowed to do toeholds yet.
