Johnny Cash died in Nashville this morning from respiratory failure, due to complications that resulted from diabetes. He was 71. He follows his wife June Carter Cash, who died in May.

In addition, John Ritter died as well, on the set of his sitcom. He had a tear in his aorta, which was evidently due to an undiagnosed flaw in his heart. He was six days short of his 55th birthday.

That's really ashame because John Ritter was really a gifted actor/comic with his sitcoms and movies. Someone needs to kick the grim reapers @ss.

I was flipping the channels about an hour ago, and VH1 was replaying the acoustic set Cash and Willie Nelson did a little ways back. I caught the last ten minutes or so. Very nice. I hope they play it again.
