For those of y'all who reload, how are things looking?

I've noticed that some places have come down in prices, and have primers available more frequently now. For example, Graf's had a brick of 5000 CCI standard small pistol primers for $110. $22 / 1000 primers is a far cry from the previous high of $30 / 1000 primers, although far away from the golden age (from 2002), when I could get them for $13 / 1000...

$30? I saw them at gun shows for near 60 for a K.

I really dunno if it has eased up. I still have about 7000 or so. No I didn't horde. Back about a year ago a 'Y2K' suvivalist sold a bunch of his stuff at a super garage sale. I bought maybe 4000 for $10 a thousand. Powder and slugs to. Plus I had about 6 thousand on hand (with IDPA I shoot alot.)

I still have enough small pistol primers to load at least 3 or so thousand 9mms. And I have the slugs to!

I'll wait till the prices to back to $20 or less a thousand. I figure I have enough to last maybe 1/2 year. We will see.

I'm seeing more on-line but I don't see the prices dropping.

Powder Valley had them in stock for $23 / 1000 last week. Of course, they were snapped up in about two days...

I'm going to wait until 2010 before making my next bulk primer purchase. Thankfully, I still have 5000 Winchester standard small pistol primers, and 5000 Winchester large pistol primers, so I should be OK for the next few months.

Sadly, I've shot so little over the last year that I haven't had to reload, so I still have a few boxes of primers kicking around. Probably have to make up some more 30-06 for deer season though. :)

I finally was able to buy some small mil-spec primers on-line after months.I'm afraid the decision by Aurnuld to sign the thumb print/ammo log law in Cali is going to cause more stockpiling though.
