We found some used sparring gear for our kids.

One complete set (head, hands, feet) for $10:boxing:

The punches have tears near the thumb.

What is the best way to repair them, or should we just let them be?

Super glue and it will stay together.

Superglue works great - and doesn't leave rough edges to cut other people the way tape can; we don't allow tape on the contact surfaces of pads because it can cut skin easily, but lots of people I know use superglue. Just be careful to only get it in the rips and not all over the pad, or you could stick the thumb to the main hand.

I just used the Super Glue Gel and it sealed them up nice and tight.

Thanx Terry and Kacey! Problem resolved in 10 minutes.
