Need some advice on leg strengthening...

It seems like you've gotten a lot of good advise, but one thing that you might want to consider as well is uni-lateral exercises, working one leg at a time. I don't have very thick legs, but they're strong and the uni-lateral work really helped me out.

Differnt bodyweight exercise sites will have information on one-legged squats, called 'Pistols' by some. You can progress upto them a little at a time by lowering yourself onto a chair or bench. I`t supposed to be the #1 power building exersise for the legs out there.

Yeah, those are good exercises.

But he has pointed out that he feels that his knees are weak and hurt. So imo he is far from doing pistol squats as they will just put more pressure on his knees..

I forgot to add it last time but, let us know hw it goes!
