looking for a phrase/proverb

I read it a while back.
it was something to the extend of not yapping about your travel plans much so trouble can't get ahead of you.

naturally it would help if I remembered whee I read it....It was something adventurous, probably (likely) fictional.

I recall a quote from Skeeve in one of Robert Asprin's Myth Adventures books to that effect. Something like "If you worry so much about what may happen in the future, you'll trip over the present."

Can't find it online at the moment to get it exactly right.

it literally was about not telling where you go so trouble/danger can't await you there...

drives me crazy that I can't remember....
