So its about 10:30 p.m., I was just training, practicing my combos. I was getting tired, but too determined to stop. So about the 20th time circling the main living area of my house doing kicks and punches, I was passing through the kitchen, front kick, front kick, axe kick WHAM! My knee hurts (from over extension) and I hope I didn't break the handle to the door of the oven. How many of you can relate?

I caught my pinky toe on the rear of a couch doing forms in a small space. The form called for an inside crescent kick. When my foot got back on the floor, the toe was off by 90 degrees.

I said Bad Words...

Both. I did specify that it was bad words...

Turns out it's really not. Fortunately, a toe is one of the easier dislocations to reduce.
Did it look like this

or more like this with bad words lol

It looked like this

And sounded like a cross between those too, but with more vulgarity.

About 3 1/2 (maybe 4) years ago I was practicing a bak sil lum form and kicked my couch. Them things just jump out at you like ninjas. I broke one of my toes. It took about two months to heal and a couple more to stop aching. I still feel it now when doing BJJ when I'm doing shoots and sometimes when I'm doing weighted lunges.

I was at a grading once and one of the students that was sparring accidentally kicked one of the empty chairs in the gallery. I just said to the student 'don't spar the furniture'.:)

What did you do to your big toe? Looks horrible.

That's not my foot. I didn't take pictures, I just swore and reduced the dislocation. That's a google image.
My feet look much worse. I've always had gnarly toes.
