Kids Aikido class set-up

Yellow Belt
So I've started a Kids' Aikido class just last week -> Rakushinkan Kids
I really only have time for the one class which will run twice a week, so the set-up right now is for ages 7-13. Class is 1 hr 15 min.
What do you think? Is this a good idea or no?

I have a teen/adult class right afterwards.
Mon/Wed: Kids 5:00-6:15pm, teen/adult 6:15-7:45pm

Thanks.

My daughter was in a kids Aikido class for many years and loved it.

The school where I train has a kids class as well. It is structured training but mixed with games to keep the kids interested. I suspect you need to be willing to soften the training for the kids, or it won’t keep their interest. But it keeps them going until they are ready both physically and emotionally, to join the adult class.

The way the kids class is structured is actually as a mixed, family class. It was originally a kids only class, but the parents would hang around waiting for it to finish. Then someone had the bright idea that as long as the parents are hanging around anyways, they may as well get on the mat and train too, if they desire. The adults are generally segregated from the kids so they can get some more age-appropriate training, but there is some mixing with the kids as well. The head sensei generally works with the adults while one of the senior assistants works with the kids. The assistant is actually a grade-school phys-ed teacher so has a lot of professional expertise working with kids, and that is tremendously helpful.

Exactly how our 'kids' classes are.
