does anyone here do this style? what do you think of it?
also, does anyone know if there are any schools or teachers in virginia that teach this style?

Check your email! Your inbox here is full.

It's a Great style! Check it out here in the Kempo section.

Kakukenbo.org doesn't list any schools in Virginia, but that doesn't mean it isn't there.

Kajukenbo is an excellent system, with the standard caveat that the instructor is more important than the system.

Hello, There maybe a Universal Kempo-Karate school, Our Professor Martin T Buell...came from Kajukenbo,His instructor was Emperado.

We do almost the same things at Universal Kempo-Karate schools. You may want to check them out........Aloha

I don't train in this system but what I know about it is all good. You can't go wrong.

Hello, If you research the sites below. You will find tons of info on Kajukenpo (google: Search)

It was started by 5 masters in Hawaii from different arts,Karate,Judo,Kenpo/Kung-fu,Tang Soo do, and Jujistu. They took the best of each, combine many techniques to form Kajukenpo.

From stand up to ground fighting. Our system came from Kajukenpo...just on the chokes (we have 21 ways to learn and doing them).

Ed parker's Kenpo, Tracy's kenpo, Universal Kempo and many other Kenpo stylist came from Kajukenpo...today many off shoots and varietions of them.

It is a very good art....the idea was for street fighting. Hawaii had some tough housing areas. Fights were common. Kajukenpo was design for the streets. .........Aloha

PS: Just visit a few classes (note each Instructor has their own backgrounds of teaching...many in the same system..could differ?)

.............Aloha (Try Judo too!)

Ed Parker (and therefore the Tracy's) did not come from Kajukenbo, but rather from Chow's teachings of Kenpo.
