Another excellent Shotokan practitioner to be found on Youtube is John Gardiner.
He has an engaging, openminded and practical approach to karate and well worth checking out.
he also has a Facebook page full of excellent content...He also a very nice, down to earth person...I have messaged back and forth with him on Instagram.

He learned from Tetsuhiko Asai Sensei who created specific Asai-ryu katas, the style was much more fluid and whip-like than standard Shotokan.

There are snippets here and there in his seminar videos. My Shotokan partner has never seen them before either.
