For me, despite the fact that I have what might be considered a very technical, IT founded, job I am starting to think that maybe the Luddites had the right of it all along! :D.

The very idea that whenever I am out in public my every move and word is likely to be monitored is downright scary ... embarrassing at best and malicious at worst.

I've been wondering about these Google Glass things... I actually see a place for something like that professionally. We're seeing body mounted cameras being used by more and more departments to attempt to get more and more documentation of incidents. Most of the designs I've seen are kind of clunky -- and add one more single purpose gadget. But... if you give me glasses that simultaneously serve to protect my eyes (debris & sun) and can be used in different ways to get information to me (call addresses, license information, etc.) while recording what goes on... That could be useful, if it's made in such a way as not to be a distraction.
