:chuckles: Whilst I would prefer the last treatment for hiccups mentioned in the article, I seem to be blessed with Kwai Chang Caine levels of control over my vagus nerve, as I can stop hiccups stone dead by willful control of my diaphram ... which is a pity considering that last mentioned treatment :angel:.

Someone told me once to drink a glass of water while lying on my back, and that it worked for her every time.

It also worked for me every time so I tried a modification of drinking water with my head tilted all the way back. That worked too. Not sure if I'm affecting the vagus nerve that way but that little tactic has saved me from many embarrassing situations :asian:

You go right ahead and get someone to give you the Heimlich. I prefer the method outlined in the OP.
