from the what-are-you-writing dept.

ericcantona writes "The Communications Data Bill (2008) will lead to the creation of a single, centralized database containing records of all e-mails sent, websites visited and mobile phones used by UK citizens. In a carnivore-on-steroids programme, as all vestiges of communication privacy are stripped away, The BBC reports that Home Secretary Jacqui Smith says this is a 'necessity.'"

Hey - I know!!!!

Let's all send Sukerkin loads of messages filled with vague sinister inferences!!! :bangahead::uhohh:

Mae-wha?

Look chaps, I'm in enough trouble already because I dare to train in a centuries old Japanese art that requires me to use a long curved piece of metal. Don't make my life any worse than it already is!

As to the core of the OP, to be honest, practical technical considerations being put aside aside, I'm really not that bothered. I never treat e-mail as anything different than a post-card anyhow (given how many people can already read what you write), so I never write anything in one that I would be unhappy with anyone else reading.

Can you ever really be in enough trouble?

Look at the positive side of all this.... the more trouble we can get you into, the more first hand experience you can share with this Forum as to how the new law is (mal)functioning.

Now, where was Andy Moynihan's thread on all the "torture porn" in the Saw movies... that should draw and hold the Monitors' attention!:whip1:

ROFL - you, sir, are an evil man :D.
