In another threat, I always emphasize "leg skill". Most of the striking art just don't emphasize "leg skill" at all. If your opponent's legs are free to move around, it will be your fault.
If you want to use front door "拧(Ning) - twist", by using only 2 contact point (am pulling and arm pushing) is not the best way to throw your opponent. First, the neck pushing contact point is much better than the arm pushing contact point. Second, it will also be more effective to add:
- stealing step footwork (this give your body more rotation) and,
- leg skill such as leg spring (this give you the 3rd contact point).
