World Oil Production....

Okay here are several pages outlining world oil production and where it is and where it is projected to go.
Interesting note by 2020 the US will be number one in the world in Oil Production and by 2030 energy
independent. Very interesting!!!

Now obviously there could be some hit or miss here or there and certainly as car technology advances
and other renewable energy resources are invented we could be energy independent earlier or later.

Still I am a little optimistic particularly by the final article on CNN.

It's quite encouraging to hear that. It's certainly more encouraging than the gloom and doom reports that I kept hearing in elementary and middle school (70's and 80's), where we were going to run out of oil in 15 years.

There's quite a bit of oil in the form of tar sands, oil shale, etc., as well as new technologies that make extraction of oil previously thought as unreachable entirely possible and economically feasible. I just hope that the ninnies the likes of Matt Damon quit making stupid movies about eeeeeeevil US oil production, bankrolled by Middle East oil tycoons...

who cares, it's just a vehicle to blow stuff up anyhow....
