Oh I dunno. 4 cops killed in a coffee shop. A chief recently killed responding to a robbery. This. If I recall correctly there were a few other instances over the past 2 years as well.

So far, you can count this all on one hand. There will always be crime and criminals, but it is not all that bad.

I don't think it's the NW, per say. Florida just took a heavy hit as well. But something ugly is simmering out there and I worry about my friends who wear the uniform.

Perhaps Archangel M missed the Arizona shooting.

Here is a map of violent crime stats - PNW has hot spots, but is generally average - nowhere near as bad as California, New Mexico and places *south.*

I personally think it was better before the population here exploded - everyone wants to live here because of the lower crime and pop levels.

The PNW is still one of the better places to live.
