I feed the crows, they bring their babies to meet me (the peanut man) once they are able to leave the nest. I’m on fifth generation now. I love how they fluff up when they see me. They never caw at me, they bring me shiny bits of junk sometimes and leave it on my porch or my windshield. There is one that will eat from my hand.

This reminds me of my grandfather. He used to hand feed squirrels on his deck. They would come up onto his lap and he would give them peanuts

My grandfather use to put peanut butter on snares in his pecan tree to catch the big gray squirrels. They taste divine, a true delicacy.

A friend once offered me something on a stick from a local Korean street vendor.

I tried it and asked, "this is good, what is it?”
He said, "Rat."
I stopped eating and said, “Rat?!”
He laughed and said, “No, no — in Korea we call it 'sea rat'.”

While, living working in Thailand

they serve something called หนูนา (nǔu naa) — meaning "field rat."
It's made from actual rats... not bad, actually — spicy, like most Thai food!

Common in "Maha Sarakham" (มหาสารคาม),"

The only things I won’t eat are mushrooms and bell peppers. Other than that I’m game for game,
