Tae Kwon Do vs. Muay Thai in K-1

I don't know too much about K-1, I havn't even seen a match. All I know is that it is an ultimant kickboxing event.

In K-1, are the majority champs or good fighters masters of Tae Kwon Do or Muay Thai?

Muay Thai mainly.

I don't think i've seen a pure TKD guy in K-1 in years. ALOT of the guys started out with TKD and moved onto Muay Thai though (seems to be an extremely popular choice for TKD guys wanting to fight pro).

I would also say that Muay Thai would be the main style that you'll see. I'm sure that there are crosstrainers in K1, but the majority of kicking is from MT.
