Don't forsake a desperate man.
Hope you know that's who I am.

Hmm nice song and that is interesting though I do not understand the intent and see then cannot reply in kind. Still, the vibe reminds me of so many things [not least they have totally ripped off the bassline of The Jam ~ "What you Give is What you Get" haha]. Here is one for you
ahhh the 1990s why did you have to go away.. Jenna x

Yay you have posted me something!! Ah that is more like it goodness you are just in the door and see now that has upped the ante on this here lame old thread haha. I would give you this then dear Egg and because it is one of my all time favourites like ever.. oh wow..
= Radiohead ~ Where I End and You Begin..

There's a gap in between. There's a gap where we meet. Where I end and you begin
And I'm sorry for us: the dinosaurs roam the earth; the sky turns green, where I end and you begin
I'm up in the clouds. I'm up in the clouds and I can't and I can't come down

You would give me another yes?

So, it's a challenge, is it?

First, thank you for your kind words and radiohead words.

Second: well, I think I have something for you. I love this song and album a lot; but, it's been a while since I listened to it.

I dig my toes into the sand
The ocean looks like a thousand diamonds strewn across a blue plate
I lean against the wind, pretend that i am weightless
And in this moment i am happy

Ah ok yes I see where you are now. Ha yes I follow that exactly.. that is a very familiar over-and-over-and-over song indeed to me.. and if that is your main then this is your wistful side salad..

What is happening to me? Crazy, some'd say. Where is my friend when I need you most? Gone away.

Oh no, no challenge. I could post no challenge that I would be confident of winning Jenna xo

Friends are as close as our hearts.

Hoppípolla
I engum stígvélum
Allur rennvotur (rennblautur)
I engum stígvélum
Og ég fæ blóðnasir
En ég stend alltaf upp

(Hopping into puddles
Completely drenched
Soaked
With no boots on

And I get nosebleed
But I always get up)

Oh you are exceptionally tuned in to non-US sounds!! I am impressed! When I think of Sigur Ros then Royksopp is in my head too! This is Royksopp's What Else Is there mashed into something a little darker by Trentemoller. I have been riding this mix for ages. It is the daub of black on the palette of the daily cheerful faces I do not know bout you, sometimes that is necessary for me I think.. plus the girl in the picture is quite special

It's about you and the sun. A morning run. The story of my maker: what I have and what I ache for

That was a notably creepy video. I haven't seen many of those of late; though, there was a time I enjoyed such things as videos by:
tool
nin
dir en grey
etc...

Now, though, it's mostly melancholy things that catch my eye...for example:

'They are driven by a strange desire
Unseen by the human eye
Someone is calling.'

Dead Can Dance - The Carnival Is Over'

Oh that is quite Salvador Dali in its conception I think.. Ahhh yes sweet melancholy why some days is it such a necessary medicine? Well here is one for you I would pimp this wonderful band on the world of the Philistine haha..

How deep does she weep in your well of unkeep.
The kiss of Madraykin will keep you from sleep

Melancholy yes..
hope you like Jenna x

If your gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough
When you get knocked down you gotta get back up,
I ain't the sharpest knife in the drawer but I know enough, to know,
If your gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough

Well, I drenched my brain with Rot-Gut whiskey
'Till all my pain was chicken fried
And I had dudes with badges frisk me
Teach me how to swallow pride
I took advice no fool would take
I got some habits I cant't shake
I ain't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I know enough to know
If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough

If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough
When you get knocked down, you gotta get back up
That's the way it is in life and love
If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough

I've been up and down and down and out
I've been left and right and wrong
Yeah, I've walked the walk and I've run my mouth
I've been on the short end for too long
But if they gave medals for honky tonk wars
Hell, I'd put mine in my chest of drawers
With my irs bills and divorce papers and all that stuff
If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough

If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough
When you get knocked down, you gotta get back up
I ain't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I know enough to know
If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough

...ain't it the truth. LOL

Goth blues? Very interesting, indeed!

Another wonderful favorite from through the years:

'There are enough destroyers
and criticizers.
The world needs a healer.'

Oh good we are going on tangents now.. I hear some quite proggy refrains in there. The world needs a healer? I think each of us needs a healer at least at some time that is undeniable I think.. Hmmm well I would give you this since I have been pumping it a lot lately from two of our toppest DnB producers and but it is DnB lite perhaps enough for general consumption? You give it a run through?? Yes please..

And my heart stops beating and my lungs stop breathing in air... I hope somebody cares
When the blood dries in my veins and my heart feels no more pain I know I'll be on my way to Heaven's door

I've never listened to much dNb...i kinda liked that.

Which leads me to

'Had you there in the palm of my hand
Saw that smile you gave that gal
Haven't seen that smile in such a long time...
Don't do this to me again'

Telepopmusik - Smile

@celtic_crippler haha that is so funny and so true.. Oh here is one possibly not your thing [guess I would not ever find out?] haha I find this song so incredibly annoying I am not quite certain why and but it is one of those songs I would listen to and hate myself for doing it haha.. pffft..

~~~~~
@OnlyAnEgg ooh that vocal reminds me a lot of Elisabeth Frazer.. This is one of my fav more recent songs of theirs.. I love this it is so dreamy to me I could eat this music and live off it happily..
