Hi all,

I've been updating my web site recently, icluding my 'recommended reading' section, so if you looking for a good book on TKD or martial arts, check here first, as everyone listed is 100% verified a 'good read' by me - as Ive got them and read them all :)

There are many older/unheard of books listed!

I have also started doing direct links for those in the UK, US, Canada, France, germany, Japan & China (not all completed yet). Have a look though: http://www.raynerslanetkd.com/Recommended_Reading.html

Cool, but I missed John Hyams 'ZEN int he martial Arts' on the list.

I consider that a must have.

For any history nuts looking to flush out their Okinawan history background I would suggest Patrick McCarthy's translation of the Bubishi. He includes a lot of stuff going back through Higaonna, and who his teachers may or may not have been. He also discusses the origin of Okinawan martial arts in Chinese martial arts.

Mas Oyama's books are also quite good, but are incredibly difficult to find, so it's hard to recommend them.
