My school gave its first demo yesterday at the main library. We have done tournaments and I have done countless seminars, but this was the first time for me to show my students off.
I gave a short speech about how to deal with bullies and resources to help kids who are being bullied. Then, I showed some "soft" techniques to use in bully situations if contact happens. I got the audience kids to partipate and try the moves on my students.
After that, I changed it over to a standard demo and let my students do kata, self-defense, and other things to make them look good in front of their families and audience members.

It went really well and my students looked great!
