Wow...not a lot of hockey fans or Pens fans on MT....I was VERY happy..the Pens have come a long way for this victory, and the Red Wings are a great team as well. It was a good series and I'm glad it went the full 7!

Congrats to the Pens. A seven game series and the crowning of the NHL's chosen "face of hockey" as a champion are both good for the NHL.
The fact that the Penguins were on the verge of bankruptcy just a few years ago makes it an even more compelling story, especially with how a series of fortunate incidents (the lockout, salary cap, and winning the Crosby lottery) helped Pittsburgh become competitive and then win the cup.
