LOL,

I'd coat the marching band in it!

Then again, we got lucky this year, not a single rainy day.

that stuff cool I wonder how long it lasts
they put some on glass, and hit it with a pressure washer (point blank) for an hour and the water still beaded off...
I'd guess a good long time...

Sooo...if you put this stuff on the inside of a water glass, filled the glass and emptied it, the glass would be dry?

They put it on a toilet plunger...
They have a bunch of videos on their website: www.neverwet.com although, I don't care much for the name.

As an avid outdoors man and caver I can see TONS of applications for this. For example; for years the biggest threat to cavers is hypothermia. This is mainly caused by people getting wet and it's sometimes cold in the caves or they're inside of the spray of a huge (underground) waterfall and eventually their coversuits will get soaked and weigh a ton plus it soaks through and gets the skin wet and well... and so on and so on. Marvelous.
Also good for tents, sleeping bags, you name it.
Awesome stuff... and yeah I'd want stock in the company too. :uhyeah:

Afterthoughts: Oh yeah, this stuff (on clothing) reminded me of a description of the Star Trek TOS uniforms in a book I read where Edith Keeler was amazed when she tried to clean Dr. McCoy's uniform and the dirt and stuff just "brushed off" leaving it as clean as if just came out of the wash. Perhaps this stuff is a precursor to a line of clothing pre-treated with it.

yeah nerdy enough to remember that far back

There is a video on their site with a guy in a fleece jacket having a gallon of water poured over his very dry sleeve.
