Okay, I may not be the most advanced computer user out there but I'm not an idiot either. Both Spybot and Adaware have failed me in removing this nuisance toolbar in IE (don't yell at me it?s my sister's computer I've already installed firefox). That is the long term solution; however short term.... her computer is still infected with this trojan carrying spy/malware. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it?
I?ve tried running AVG, Spybot, and Adaware with her computer disconnected from the net, even in safe mode. I?ve turned off system restore so the files can?t be backed up there and put themselves back. AVG picks up the trojans but Adaware and Spybot don?t get the toolbar so the trojans come right back.
