So after apparently what was a pretty good run, I had my first surgery last Wed night when my Gallbladder decided to "stone up". Amazingly painful. I say "apparently" because what I gathered from the staff, most people end up being admitted for some surgery or another at a much younger age. I suppose I should consider myself fortunate since everyone tells me we don't need them, but even so, I think I'm going to miss the little fella.

Ouch. I've taken someone to the surgery for abdominal pain, leading ultimately to gallbladder removal in a matter of hours, so I know how distressing the ordeal can be. Best wishes for your recovery.

Rest up and heal, brother. My wife had hers out thirty years ago, no ill effects. I wish you a speedy recovery.
