I am not a fan of most modern composers. I tend towards a few composers of the Medieval and Renaissance, a whole lot of Baroque, and Classical, not much if any in Romantic, Although there are some modern composers I like, most are Russian, but I also like Debussy, who is decidedly not Russian

I'm generally a bit of a new music fan myself, but if there is only one act then when is one to phone one's grandmother?

Also, Shostakovich is probably THE great composer of the 20th century in my view.
