Didn't James Randi debunk "Sifu" David Moore for his supposed ability to move chopsticks and other objects with his Chi?

Drat it...can't do any searches on http://forums.randi.org/index.php?s= yet - though it is quite amusing reading the list of applicants for the $1,000,000 challenge...

From the links provided by TGace, the one that interests me the most being the affadavit:

"I have footage of Sifu Moore mathing the record in bear-handed breaking."

I'd love to see that footage, wondering as I am about the species of bear and contemplating the awful ursine power thus displayed.

"I have witnessed David's inhuman power to lift one end of a car, fold a 'quarter' in his fingers, or run miles in the snow in only shorts."

I have been known to crumple one end of a car after having downed a fifth three fingers at a time, and run miles from the cops in only my underwear. In fact, I did this all in one evening.

Now, Viele says Moore won't do this for money. I WILL. In fact, I will run in the snow in only a thong if paid enough.

In one dollar bills.

They have to be tucked.

Teeth only.

Regards,

Steve

Well, that just made it easy for him to get the money (if any was offered anyway). He needs footage, but no-one WANTS to see it. In fact, he could probably make a fortune threatening to post non-existant footage of him wearing only a thong...

Your Info says you are from Cheektowaga, NY. That is only an hour from my school and I do have an open invite to visit. We could work out in a friendly atmosphere. I can answer any questions you have show you the differences in my system and would be proud if you would share your art with our students. They are mostly new so don't expect Black Belts... Also I could introduce you to Sifu Moore. If you are from Cheektowaga, NY. You should know Sensei Hutch of Seven Tigers.

Ask him about Sifu Moore. He was in my dojo when Sifu ripped a quarter in half and did his Samada Demo and also I did the Lu Ling Sao for the Demo. He was a personal witness.

Or are some of your that like to bash me afraid that I might get to prove myself and you won't have anything to bash anymore. I am not challanging anyone just inviting them to meet me in person.
I am planing on making the MA meet and greet but I have to go Day by day. My wife is looking at several surgeries due to a MVA in July 2002. Depending on her condition and schedule I will be there.

That's right Shesulsa, and I have only one and a half gonads, at that.

Now Sifu/Lama Moore is shown posing with "wild birds" that flock to him. I've seen these wild birds elsewhere. They're called "pigeons." They're not so much attracted to "ki" as they are to french fries, bird seed, bread, and just about anything else one can consume.

As for the "blind arrow catch," I'll shoot him with an arrow...dulled tip...provided I'm the one that gets to blindfold him. I'll donate a hundred bucks to a charity of his choice. James Randi might pay him a million dollars.

<sigh>

The last living kung fu master in America. A practitioner, it seems, of "Wild Pigeon Style."

Buff dude, though. I'll give him that.

Calkins in bold:

I for one am not particularly "afraid" you'll do anything insofar as proving yourself. As for meeting you, I was within an hour's drive of you earlier this month. It wasn't worth my time.

Steve

Actually, the visual impression I get from Mr. Hutch (???) is the similarity of his general appearance to the kung fu teacher in Napoleon Dynamite.

I see Mr. McPeak is on that list.

Mr. Calkins, is this supposed to be a list of all the people he's learned from, or the list of people who've appeared at his school or what?

And I noticed the use of the term Seven Star Preying Mantis. Now, I don't study that style, but ... shouldn't that be Praying Mantis?

Not Worth your time or afraid to get proven that I am not a liar. To many words. Many people saying that that should come out here and try my art to see if I'm a fake. But no one ready to take the chance that I am not. The Videos were Student Level for Students... I have ready explained that. If you all think I am a Fake why not visit my school with the open invite. See what I am about, Meet me and prove that I don't knw anything. I again am not challanging but Inviting to Share knowledge.

I'll go with the "Not worth the time" option

Share knowledge? every time you post you drop the collective martial arts knowledge base a point or two

With all due respect, abilities aside, it's already been proven beyond anyone's shadow of a doubt that your ability to stretch the truth has been well documented. Anything that you couldn't dispute outright, you simply ignored despite requests for answers. I don't think it's realistic at this point to expect anyone to go out of their way for your benefit. We'll see what's what at the meet and greet.

Just like I thought. All Talk. You all want proof but all that are in the area to visit wont. I end with... Maybe they are people that really do know me and are hiding the truth. I see that they are from WNY.. But they are not ready to visit my school to see if I know what I am talking about. Just bosting on the forum as that they know everything. I have invited. I have an open door policy to my dojo. Why not prove you are right by talking to me in person and checking out my abilities. Not as a challange but by stopping in and watching or joining in on a class. If you hold instructor rank it will be honored in our dojo. Please feel free to come with full uniform and rank. It will be respected.

Kinda the pot calling the kettle black, don't you think?

Let's stop there for a moment. You contend it's because everyone else wants to live in a fantasy world. Maybe, just maybe, there's another reason for this (See 1,264 previous posts for reason). Take a moment if you will and reflect.

Maybe you're right. Maybe it's all a conspiracy. Give a shout when you find one.

Stunt: Arrow Catching

BAYONNE, NJ—Aarti Rishi, a 20-year-old black-belt karateka, lost her left eye while performing a stunt in which a student fired an arrow at her and she was to catch it in midair. Instead of going as planned, the arrow deflected off her arm and went into her eye. The accident occurred here at the Central Dojo while Rishi was in charge during the owner’s absence.

Little could be done for Rishi even after medical personnel arrived because her eye had come out of its socket, said H. Mickey McCabe, the director of emergency medical services for McCabe Ambulance. The Bayonne Police confiscated the bow and arrow as evidence, but no criminal charges were filed against the student who fired the arrow or against the school.
