I am starting this because the original has veered off into who kills more people, religion or socialism. This week ann again takes on charitable giving, mentioning the obamas versus the bush's.

"In 2005, Vice President Cheney gave 77 percent of his income to charity. He also shot a lawyer in the face, which I think should count for something."-Ann Coulter

Ann also reports on the Charitable giving of Al Gore, John Kerry, Joe Biden, Rush Limbaugh, John McCain and a few others.

That 77% was pursuant to an agreement he entered into in 2001 that the proceeds of his options as Halliburton VP would go to charity in an attempt to avoid a conflict of interest. He didn't just decide one day to give up 3/4 of his income to charity.

Okay, then what is the excuse of the Obama's, Bidens, gores and the Kerrys? They are after all the ones claiming to be looking out for the little guy and the "working man."

Kerry was Big Ketchup, not Big oil. What do the richest people on the planet need with a government paycheck?

The bean counters have it all figured out, they know exactly how much you need to give to charity in order to lower your payable tax as much as possible.

THey don't need the government paycheck, they just need your paycheck through taxes to pay for the largesse they like to bestow on their supporters. Why should they tap their own wealth when they can spend all of yours, and get all the credit for doing it.

You have to admit, that line about the lawyer was pretty funny. Ann can be pretty funny in her columns, and was told she has comedic chops by Dennis Miller.

God damn man, what happened to that guy? He went from skewering authority to worshiping it. Now he has a lucrative radio career saying and doing the things he used to mock.

He knows damn well the Baby Boomers are his demographic; so, he will be pandering to an aging and ever growing conservative base. They are the only people who know what the hell he is referencing when he creates his odd meanderings of a point.

you started the whole thing, who kills more socialism or religions, sir

one person replied to coulter's comment about if people want others to see muslim as a peace loving religion then it would help if they stopped killing people. and then someone else replied with an As if christianity has been such an angel. maybe the US should keep their paws out of other countries affairs. Then you replied with the socilaism/communism has killed more. You kinda started it and then complain that your thread got hijacked. You're about half a gin short of a martini.

My threads are never high jacked, I don't mind wherever they lead, but by the 7th or 8th page I like to move on to fresh turf.
