Does today's Ninjutsu practioner employee traditional weapons, bo, shuriken, tetsubishi, kusari gama etc... Or do they pass them aside for the weapons of today pistol, stun gun, mace etc...

What is most effective, what is harder to learn to employee in the manner of the ninja.

in my dojo we practice traditional weapons as well as more modern weapons. the traditional weapons are more of the art part. not very often you get attacked by gang members and you have a naginata with you.

I think that all that depends on the dojo one is from. In To-Shin Do, a more current, practical approach is taught with regards to Ninjustu. In Hayes sensei's program, the Khihon (traditional) program is recommended after one completes the To-Shin Do black belt program. One isn't forced to, just recommened.
