So, other than hungry, whatta you think? :)

I shot these at various times, available light and on-phone flash. I might go back some day and ask if I can set up some kit and do a more 'pro' shoot.

yes please! :) so we are all hungry then this is exactly what a food photograph is meant to convey yes?? I would like little chopsticks or napkins put around to make it "real" even if that is staged.. I do not like to be first to eat and but if there is chopsticks or fingers picking up some food then this is like ah they are eating to I will eat also!! :) I have tried eating these and but I have just got lip balm over the screen.. still they are delicious photographs :) oh and natural light I think it is what they try to do in supermarket food aisles they use LEDs not not old fluo lights?? so maybe you put it at the window for natural light?? ha like I am a big expert lols.. It is good you can eat up your models after you are done shooting :D It is what they would have wanted haha..

LOL, I did not even see the line about the phone pictures.

I'd put them on the menu, if that's what you are thinking! :)

So Italian, Mexican, Chinese and Korean all taste the same? That would be a shock! Are the prices the same? :uhyeah: Glad you can get some food you enjoy at least.

Bob - I like the one of the broccoli and the one below it the best. I think the lighting and the composition are a little better. But I guess considering your gear, they are all good. :)

What I meant is they don't eat what they cook so it all has a poor quality or taste compared to the same food cooked in larger metropolitan areas and that influence is regardless of the ethnic name of the food. Prices are very expensive two people dinner $60 to $100 pizza $25 to $40 each. They make a fortune here and ship in help from LA. Many have been Masters back in the day thier kids are spoiled lazy they send them to me I get them to loose weight and good at TKD and then they ship them out to boarding school Seattle as soon as they are ready for Highschool.

Still they are like family to me and I give them King Crab and Halibut when ever possible they make great soup from the heads

Bob I love the photos. The only one I'm not crazy about is the miso....but that's because I don't think miso has a texture that photographs well.

Regardless I definitely think you should bring in a real kit! I photographed some sushi the other night with my iPad, I'll be putting it on Facebook this evening. The chef was so artistic with his presentation I just had to capture a photo before it was devoured :D

My wife and I. Shots were over several weeks. Though I could probably eat that all in 1.... :D

My favorite is the miso soup because it's my favorite food
besides dark chocolate. I like how the black and red colors
from the bowl have a glossy color like a 50's diner. The simplicity
of the miso by itself has a Zen type quality in it.
